– a committed community that connects the entire value chain to promote the Danish consumption of legumes and create a greener food culture.

With a focus on both climate and public health, we work for a more sustainable future, where legumes play a natural role in the daily meals of Danes.

Our values

From vision to reality

Visions require action. That is why all our partners commit to initiatives that promote legumes in Denmark – specifically in one or more of the following areas:

  • Set gradually increasing goals for the sale and production of legumes

  • Monitoring the sale and production of legumes. 

  • Increasing Danes' awareness of legumes and their positive effects on health and the climate.

  • Identifying areas where efforts are needed to increase the sale and production of legumes.

  • Seek funding to launch the necessary initiatives to increase both consumption and production.

  • To collaborate on initiatives and share knowledge and experience.

Who are we?

The Danish Legume Partnership was established in 2024 by the Think Tank Frej in collaboration with Lidl. The partnership is developed together with our partners, with daily management handled by Christina Tønner Jensen, project manager at Think Tank Frej.
